Catalina names UK country leader
Loyalty and retail media specialist Catalina has named Simon Betts as UK country leader, as the business sharpens its focus on omnichannel loyalty solutions for retailers and brands.
Simon steps into the role after serving as partnerships development director at Catalina and succeeds Huma Khan.
He brings more than 20 years’ experience from senior commercial roles at Tesco, Currys and Homebase, working closely with FMCG brands on product launches, market entry and growth in the UK and internationally.
Based in the UK, Simon will lead Catalina’s senior leadership team, bringing together analytics, technology and client delivery expertise to deliver measurable paper and digital loyalty and retail media campaigns.
His appointment comes as Catalina builds on its strength in personalised coupons, expanding into broader loyalty and retail media solutions designed to drive repeat spend and long-term customer value.
Simon said: “I understand what retailers are thinking and what brands are thinking, and how Catalina can support both.
“Our opportunity is to build on our strength in personalised coupons and demonstrate the full breadth of our capability across both digital and paper formats, helping clients engage individual shoppers in ways that are relevant, ethical and provably effective.
“With competition intensifying and shopper loyalty harder to earn, retailers and brands need tools that deliver measurable value beyond one-off discounts and help build lasting relationships.”
Simon added: “I’ve got a very strong leadership team around me, all experts in their own field who make this business work day to day.
“They are central to our success with retailers and brands, and to the role Catalina plays across the industry.
“Depth of leadership matters.
“It’s what allows us to deliver solutions that clients can trust, measure and scale, particularly at a time when margins are under pressure and loyalty has to earn its place commercially.”
