MHA grows restructuring team across North West
National accountancy and advisory firm MHA has strengthened its restructuring and recovery offering in the North West with the appointment of Nicola Clark as partner.
Nicola joins the business from a top ten accountancy firm and will work across MHA’s Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Lancaster and Kendal offices.
A qualified and licensed insolvency practitioner, she brings more than 20 years’ experience advising lenders, directors and shareholders of businesses facing financial challenge.
Her expertise spans administrations, liquidations, corporate simplification, tax-driven shareholder restructuring and the recovery of asset value for lenders, particularly within the property sector.
She also has experience acting for property lenders as a Law of Property Act Receiver.
Nicola said: “This is a great opportunity for me to help MHA establish and grow a dedicated restructuring service in the region.
“My approach is always to help clients and their advisors understand all the options available to them and then to focus on providing pragmatic solutions.
“I want to use the experience, skillset and relationships I’ve developed throughout my career to support clients to achieve good outcomes, whether that’s businesses facing challenges, or solvent restructuring processes aimed at unlocking shareholder value, corporate re-organisation or group entity simplification.”
Nicola’s appointment supports MHA’s continued investment in its restructuring services, strengthening the firm’s ability to support businesses across the North West at critical points in their lifecycle.
Andrew Feeke, partner and head of MHA’s Manchester office, added: “As a firm, we continue to expand our advisory services across the UK and felt Manchester presented an opportunity to further grow our restructuring offering in support of business owners, banks, funders and the wider professional community.
“Nicola is an enormously experienced insolvency professional with an impressive record of collaborating with clients to guide them through the advisory, restructuring and business recovery process.
“We’re thrilled she has chosen to join us to develop and lead our restructuring team in the North West.”
