PPS appoints sales director
Yorkshire-based supplies firm PPS has appointed Jenny McGuckin as sales director, signalling the next phase of growth for the family-owned business.
Jenny joins PPS with extensive experience across B2B distribution, public sector and complex, multi-site sales environments.
The appointment marks the first time the firm has recruited externally at director level, as it targets ambitious growth and plans to double revenues by 2030.
In her new role, Jenny will lead PPS’ commercial strategy, with a focus on securing new contractual business, strengthening relationships with existing customers and expanding healthcare supplies revenue.
Her background includes senior sales leadership roles with full P&L responsibility, delivering sustained above-target growth and leading national sales teams.
Jenny said: “I’m delighted to have become a part of the PPS team and I’m very pleased to have already hit the ground running in terms of driving the company forward towards its new and exciting growth and revenue targets.
“PPS is a business that’s deservedly well-known for the quality of its products, and of course its supply services, and I look forward to further establishing our presence with bigger value customers.”
Jenny’s appointment follows a strong year for PPS, which included a significant expansion of its York warehousing facility and a series of new hires.
Further recruitment is planned during 2026 as the business continues to scale.
Managing director Joseph Fitzpatrick added: “I’ve known of Jenny for some time and always felt her experience, energy and way of working would be a great fit for PPS, so I’m delighted we’ve been able to bring her into the business.
“She joins us at a pivotal point in our growth as we look to double revenue over the next five years following recent high six-figure contract wins and investment in a new warehouse.
“Jenny brings deep experience working with large, contractual customers — an area we’re now actively developing — and I’m excited about the opportunity to combine that with PPS’s reputation for highly personal service delivered at scale.”
