Avanade appoints new chief executive
Global IT consultancy Avanade has appointed Chris Howarth as its chief executive, leading the firm into its next phase of growth.
Chris succeeds Rodrigo Caserta, who steps down after more than a decade with Avanade to take on a senior leadership role at Microsoft.
The transition marks a new chapter for the company as it continues to strengthen its position within the Accenture–Microsoft ecosystem.
Chris brings more than 28 years’ experience at Accenture and has worked closely with Avanade for over five years, helping to drive innovation, client success and growth across the Microsoft partnership.
In his new role, he will focus on building on Avanade’s strong foundations and strategic priorities, while maintaining oversight of the wider Microsoft relationship, reinforcing Avanade’s role in delivering value across global customer segments.
Chris said: “I’m honoured to join Avanade as chief executive, building on the strong foundation Rodrigo and the leadership team have built.
“Rodrigo’s leadership has positioned Avanade for sustained momentum, and his move to Microsoft further strengthens our partnership.
“I’m excited to work with our people, clients, and partners at this pivotal moment, delivering on the huge potential of AI to drive transformation and accelerate value."
Manish Sharma, chief strategy and services officer at Accenture and chair of the board of directors at Avanade, added: “Chris brings deep knowledge of Avanade, strong alignment across Accenture and Microsoft, and a proven record of leadership.
“His appointment ensures continuity in our strategy and momentum, while further strengthening Avanade’s central role in the joint venture.
“We thank Rodrigo for more than a decade of extraordinary impact and look forward to continuing to work closely with him in his new role at Microsoft.”
