Wholesaler boosts market presence with triple move
A wholesaler and distributor has expanded with a triple acquisition.
Pricecheck has bought hair styling brand Harmony, deodorant and antiperspirant marque Amplex and men’s fragrance Rapport.
Bosses say the moves “mark the next step in the company’s evolution as a brand owner”.
They add the deals mean Pricecheck has taken full ownership of the brands, products and distribution, having previously acted as exclusive delivery partner for the lines.
Barry Corker, buying director at Pricecheck, which is based in Beighton, on the outskirts of Sheffield, said: “Millions of us grew up with these brands, seeing them on our TV screens and in our bathroom cabinets.
“We know there is a genuine affection for them, which is why we are incredibly proud to continue their legacy.
“Pricecheck has worked intimately with Harmony, Amplex and Rapport for some time, so we understand the DNA of these heritage icons.
“We are perfectly positioned to build on the success of these products and ensure consumers can enjoy them for years to come.”
