Bellway unveils 195-home Boroughbridge scheme
A housebuilder is set to deliver nearly 200 new homes in North Yorkshire, bringing fresh investment and jobs to a growing market town.
Bellway Homes is launching Lancaster Fold in Boroughbridge, a 195-home development off Chapel Hill featuring properties ranging from one-bedroom houses to five-bedroom detached homes.
The scheme aims to attract a mix of buyers, including first-time purchasers, families and downsizers.
As part of the project, Bellway will invest more than £1 million in local education, almost £500,000 in open space contributions and £254,000 in transport improvements.
At least a dozen construction jobs are expected to be created.
Melanie Smith, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales director, said: “There’s always a lot of excitement in the build-up to a new development, but here in Boroughbridge things are already gathering a great deal of momentum – and it’s easy to see why.
“The wide cross section of house types alone would normally mean you’d get a steady flow of enquiries ahead of launch, but when you add in the location – which combines great transports links and a beautiful location – it’s fair to say that we’re heading for the biggest number of enquiries ahead of a launch that any of us can remember.”
The development is due to launch in the spring.
