Andel appoints first finance director
Yorkshire-based manufacturer Andel has appointed Richard Sullivan as its first finance director, marking a major milestone as the business reaches 100 employees.
Richard joins the specialist leak detection and environmental protection company following senior finance roles at AES Engineering and Burton Security.
He will strengthen the six-person finance team and help evolve the function to deliver greater strategic insight across the company.
Richard said: “Becoming Andel’s 100th employee feels particularly fitting, and the creation of the finance director role demonstrates the company’s foresight and commitment to future growth.”
Founded in 1992, Andel has grown into a £10 million-turnover manufacturer, supplying its flagship leak detection systems to high-profile sites including The Shard, the Houses of Parliament and Canary Wharf.
Now operating from a facility near Barnsley, the business continues to expand across sectors including transport, government, utilities and healthcare as it builds on decades of innovation.
Peter Double, managing director at Andel, added: “Richard’s appointment marks an important step in Andel’s evolution.
“Reaching 100 employees is a milestone we are extremely proud of, but creating our first finance director role reflects something even more significant – the scale of our ambition.
“Richard brings exactly the strategic insight and leadership we need as we continue to grow, innovate and strengthen our position as a Yorkshire manufacturing success story.”
