MLL Telecom appoints new chief executive
London-based network services provider MLL Telecom has appointed Stuart Wallis as chief executive, succeeding Shaun Ledgerwood after six years in the role.
Stuart previously served as chief commercial officer and has been part of the senior leadership team since 2019.
He brings more than 25 years’ experience in the telecoms sector, having held engineering roles at Nokia, Ericsson and Nortel before joining MLL in 2010.
During his tenure, Stuart has played a key role in strengthening MLL’s position in network design, build and management, supporting relationships with all major UK mobile operators and public sector organisations.
The leadership transition marks the next stage of growth for MLL Telecom as it continues to expand its national network services offering.
Stuart said: “I am honoured to be taking over from Shaun Ledgerwood who has worked tirelessly over the last six years to develop and grow MLL.
“I am also very excited to be leading a company that has over the last 35 years enabled digital transformation from 1G to 5G in the UK Mobile Sector and is a trusted provider of cutting edge secure digital communications across the UK Public Sector.
“I’ve seen first-hand what a fantastic team we have, and I look forward to continuing that strong teamwork into the future, ensuring the company continues to scale efficiently and deliver service excellence across MLL’s target Mobile, Public Sector and Enterprise markets.”
Shaun added: “I am pleased Stuart is succeeding me as MLL’s chief executive.
“We have worked closely together over the years, and I cannot think of a person more qualified to take the helm.
“Stuart’s open, transparent and customer centric approach has been instrumental to helping us build a thriving and well-managed company.
“His strong engineering, operational and commercial background and deep knowledge of MLL makes him ideally placed to lead the company’s next stage growth.”
Mike Stevens, MLL’s chairman, added: “We are all hugely grateful to Shaun who has led MLL for the last six years, always pushing, encouraging and driving the business forward.
“I am delighted that Stuart has agreed to step into the chief executive role and lead the business through to even greater success.”
