Valpak promotes data insights director
Environmental compliance specialist Valpak, part of Reconomy, has promoted Phillip Crum to director of data insights as it expands its data services offering.
Phillip has spent 11 years with the business, most recently leading the development of Valpak’s supplier data hub and insight platform to enhance automation and data accuracy.
In his new role, he will head a 250-strong data team, overseeing regulatory and commercial data linked to more than 60 million packaging products worldwide.
Phillip said: “As new packaging regulations come into force around the world, brands and retailers need to be confident that they are meeting their obligations in every market – they need instant visibility and tools to pinpoint data gaps and highlight opportunities for improvement.
“My role is to provide that assurance, making sure that Valpak’s platforms, processes and people deliver trusted data and scalable systems in an increasingly complex data landscape.”
The promotion aligns with the launch of Valpak’s global data insights division, supporting brands and retailers in managing packaging obligations, recyclability requirements and extended producer responsibility costs across multiple markets.
