Crafted partnership blends heritage and design

A Yorkshire-based furniture maker has joined forces with a globally recognised interiors brand to launch a new collection celebrating British craftsmanship.

Parker Howley & Co, a bespoke handmade furniture manufacturer based in Mirfield, has partnered with heritage design house Sanderson to create a range of handcrafted vanity units.

The exclusive collection draws inspiration from key architectural features of Sanderson’s historic buildings, including Vosey House, a Grade II* listed landmark associated with the Modern Movement in architectural design.

The collection comprises eight vanity units available in oak or painted finishes, combining classic style with practical function.

Each piece is made to order by Parker Howley & Co’s skilled team in Yorkshire.

Neil Bell, co-founder and director of Parker Howley & Co, said: “We are proud to be collaborating with Sanderson, one of the most prestigious names in British interior design.

“The brand is well-known globally for its iconic designs in fabrics, wallpapers, and home furnishings, so collaborating with their talented team to develop this new collection of bespoke bathroom furniture, which is a nod to Sanderson’s own heritage, is an honour.

“We have been working closely with the Sanderson team behind the scenes for several months now, combining our expertise and shared commitment to creating quality, handcrafted, British interiors products, to carefully design every detail of the new collection.

“We’re pleased to share that The Sanderson Collection of vanity units has launched on our website, offering Sanderson's design eye to furniture.”

Founded in 2012, Parker Howley & Co has grown from a small garage operation into an internationally recognised maker of bespoke furniture, while Sanderson brings more than 165 years of British design heritage to the collaboration.

Emma Shoesmith, designer at Sanderson, added: “We are pleased to expand our offering to interior designers and consumers with The Sanderson Collection of bespoke vanity units available through Parker Howley & Co.

“It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with Parker Howley & Co.

“Together, we have developed the range of vanity units by drawing on inspiration from key architectural features from the original Sanderson buildings, the 1893 A. Sanderson & Sons Red Brick Factory and neighbouring 1902 building, Vosey House.

“Making this collection now made sense, as earlier this year, we moved back to our original design home, Vosey House.

“Returning to where it all began, to continue our work with our team and collaborators in creating impactful, forward-thinking designs that inspire generations to come.”
