FE Tech exports growth to Asia
A Leeds-based education technology consultancy is targeting £400,000 in revenue growth after accelerating its international expansion with regional business support.
FE Tech, a learning technology marketplace and digital transformation consultancy, has secured a new commercial partnership in Singapore following support from West Yorkshire Business Boost’s Export Programme.
Grant funding has enabled the firm to attend EDUtech Asia, a major international conference for education technology providers and policymakers.
The two-day event in November 2025 introduced the company to partners and prospective clients, generating around 30 new leads expected to convert over the next three to six months.
Bosses say this has already generated approximately £50,000 in sales and is forecast to deliver £400,000 in additional revenue, marking a significant step into the Asian market while creating one new role and safeguarding two existing positions.
James Earl, FE Tech’s chief executive, said: “The support from West Yorkshire Business Boost helped us accelerate plans that were already in motion.
“Attending EDUtech Asia gave us direct access to the right partners and customers, and the commercial outcomes have already been significant, establishing a solid foundation for future international growth.”
James Was, export manager and growth specialist at West Yorkshire Business Boost, added: “FE Tech is a strong example of a high-growth tech business using targeted support to access international markets and accelerate its global expansion plans.
“The results demonstrate how investment in ambitious SMEs can secure new commercial partnerships which translate quickly into revenue growth, job creation and longer-term economic impact for West Yorkshire.”
Founded in 2022, FE Tech works with nearly every further education college in the UK, alongside hundreds of independent providers and corporate clients.
The firm employs 23 staff and continues to build its footprint both at home and overseas.
