Worktop maker unveils £400,000 fleet move
A kitchen worktop and bathroom panel maker says it is set to drive ahead following a £400,000 transport investment.
Rearo has bought eight delivery trucks.
Bosses at the Glasgow-headquartered firm say the outlay will “enhance service across the entire UK mainland” and boost efforts to reach £12 million turnover.
The vehicles take the company’s fleet to 12 and will operate across Rearo’s branch network that includes sites in Glasgow; Aberdeen; Rosyth; Northampton; Skelmersdale, near Wigan; and Washington, near Sunderland.
Graham Mercer, managing director at Rearo, which recently secured a £1 million-a-year deal with Derbyshire-based roofing products maker Eurocell, said: “Our expanded fleet is the engine behind our national ambition.
“With our new Aberdeen branch and these vans, we can now claim to be a truly UK-wide company.
“This investment allows us to offer a more predictable, reliable and efficient delivery service to clients from Cornwall to Caithness.”
Rearo’s client book also includes a contract with Travis Perkins’ kitchen showroom division Benchmarx.
