Healthcare firm expands with new Belfast clinic
A new private healthcare clinic is set to open in Belfast city centre, creating ten jobs and expanding access to GP services.
Duality Healthcare will launch a 3000sq ft clinic on Bedford Street next month, offering services including GP appointments, urgent care, minor surgery, scanning and ADHD assessments.
Bosses say the £500,000 investment forms part of the company’s wider expansion across Northern Ireland.
The Belfast site will become Duality’s fifth clinic, with further openings planned this year, bringing its total to seven.
The business already employs more than 60 people and recently secured £4.5 million in funding to support growth.
Sarah Marks, chief operating officer at Duality Healthcare, said: “Duality Healthcare is addressing a genuine and growing challenge within the healthcare system: access to timely, high-quality care delivered in a way that is clinically robust, patient-centred and scalable.
“Our business is built around clinical leadership, real-world delivery and an understanding of regulatory and operational realities and we strongly believe that demand for the services we offer from the new Belfast clinic will be extremely strong.”
John McEvoy, chief executive of Duality Healthcare, added: “Opening our Belfast city centre location is a key milestone in Duality’s growth.
“Being right in the heart of the city puts Duality exactly where we need to be, embedded in a busy neighbourhood, easy to reach with fantastic transport connections, affordable, with appointments designed around the pace of city life allowing us to stay close to the people we serve.”
Clare Guinness, chief executive of Belfast Chamber, added: “Duality Healthcare’s new clinic is a very welcome addition to Belfast city centre.
“The opening will not only be a significant milestone in Duality Healthcare’s journey but is also significant for the city centre with its welcome investment and the creation of new employment opportunities, not to mention its potential very positive contribution to the provisional of quality healthcare.
“I congratulate the Duality Healthcare team and look forward to seeing the Belfast clinic opening and contributing positively to Belfast city centre.”
