The NE Community Champion Awards 2025 celebrated individuals’ exceptional contributions to their local area.
The ceremony, held at Newcastle Eagles’ Vertu Motors Arena, attracted more than 200 guests, with winners honoured across eight categories.
The spectacle included a community hero award, a young volunteer of the year award and a special recognition honour.
Winners received a £200 high street voucher, a £50 book token, an engraved trophy and a certificate.
Sponsored by Northern Leaders Trust and Association of Education Advisers, the event was additionally backed by award partners BAM Construction; AtkinsRéalis; Brims Construction; Develop North; Hart Family Accountancy; Muckle LLP; Ryder Architecture; and The Education Network.
Lee Kirtley, Northern Leaders Trust chief executive, said: “The dedication and hard work of our young people is inspiration to us all, and we are proud to celebrate their achievements.”
Les Walton, Association of Education Advisers’ founder and chair, added: “Young people are capable of great things, and it is wonderful to have an event like this where their contributions are recognised.”
