Glass specialist launches website amid growth

A Yorkshire-based glass manufacturer is investing heavily in its operations as it targets long-term growth and rising demand for complex glazing projects.

Specialist Glass Products, which employs 100 staff, has spent the past year upgrading its factory and machinery, alongside launching a new website to showcase its expertise to architects and specifiers.

This comes after the company reported turnover of £10.5 million for the year ending March 2025.

The digital platform, developed by Fishtank Agency, includes a virtual factory tour and highlights the firm’s capability to deliver large-scale and technically demanding schemes.

Recent projects include supplying 6000 curved and flat laminated glass panels for the Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh, toughened glass for New York’s Top of the Rock, as well as bespoke double glazing for the Flockton water tower transformation.

The investment follows a £1.2 million commitment to install the UK’s largest glass processing machine, enabling production of glass up to six metres by 3.2 metres. 

Andrew Taylor, managing director at Specialist Glass Products, said: “Our business has evolved significantly since our previous website launch, and we felt it was time for our online presence to accurately represent the high-profile projects we are now undertaking on a regular basis. 

“2026 is predicted to be another great year for us, and we’re excited to be working on some significant projects that are yet to be announced.”
