Healthcare provider set to build new surgical hub
A healthcare provider is set to break ground on a £9 million expansion.
One Health Group has been backed to create a Scunthorpe-based surgical hub.
Bosses say the “milestone” site will deliver “significant additional surgical operating capacity” and “free up capacity in NHS hospitals and alleviate waiting list pressures”.
Construction is expected to take a year.
Adam Binns, chief executive at Sheffield-headquartered One Health Group, said: “We’re delighted to confirm that construction of our first site in Scunthorpe will start imminently.
“This development reinforces our strategy to introduce surgical capacity in regions where there is no NHS or independent provider provision, and NHS patient demand is high.
“We remain confident in the expected one‑year construction timetable.”
