YorPower launches ultra-quiet generator
A West Yorkshire power generation specialist has unveiled a new high-performance standby solution designed for noise-sensitive and high-compliance sites.
YorPower, based in Sherburn in Elmet near Leeds, has launched YorPower HYPER, a generator package engineered for environments where traditional backup power systems can create planning, acoustic and sustainability challenges.
The system combines ultra-low noise performance with HVO-ready fuel capability and high step-load performance, targeting sectors such as hospitals, data centres, hotels and mixed-use developments.
Designed for sites operating close to residential areas, the package incorporates bespoke acoustic engineering and site-specific design features to help meet strict noise requirements from the outset.
YorPower HYPER also aims to reduce whole-of-life costs by avoiding unnecessary oversizing, instead matching performance to real operating demands. Optional long-term support and maintenance are available to maintain compliance and reliability.
Bosses said the solution has been built to meet growing expectations around environmental performance while ensuring dependable life-safety standby power.
Stephen Peal, managing director of YorPower, said: “YorPower HYPER is built for the sites where conventional standby power simply isn’t acceptable – it’s exceptionally quiet for environments where minimal noise is a must, it’s a greener choice by cutting noise pollution and enabling HVO fuel in place of diesel, and it’s engineered to deliver a lower whole-of-life cost through smarter, more efficient specification – without compromising life-safety reliability.”
