Engineering firm boosted by water sector contract
An engineering firm has added to its order flow with a utilities sector contract.
Bramley Engineering has installed a rescue gantry and access steelwork at Thames Water’s Hogsmill site, in Kingston upon Thames.
Bosses say the apparatus – fitted to a flow control gate – will “provide safe, practical access for maintenance… reduce downtime and avoid unnecessary crane mobilisation”.
A spokesperson for Leighton Buzzard-based Bramley Engineering added: “The project required a permanent installation that integrated accurately with existing steelwork, without compromising removable site elements.
“The design maintained the ability to remove the storm chamber lid and roof, while ensuring access and interfaces aligned correctly with existing bolt hole positions and handrail lines.”
