Scrap metal firm jobs salvaged in rescue deal
Scrap metal jobs have been saved in a rescue deal.
C Fullard (Metals) has been salvaged from administration.
The West Midlands metal recycling firm has been bought by Fullard Bros (2006).
The deal has secured all 13 jobs at the business.
The sale came after fourth-generation C Fullard (Metals), based in Willenhall, near Walsall, suffered the effects of higher operating costs and tariffs, and saw a number of customers cease trading.
Conrad Beighton and Kirsty Swan, of professional services firm Leonard Curtis, acted as joint administrators on the agreement.
Conrad said: “We are very pleased to have secured a sale of this well-established family-run business.
“It had encountered significant trading difficulties but had a strong, underlying business model and excellent reputation.
“Protecting jobs was a priority.”
Cerberus Asset Management and Cerberus Receivables Management supported the sale, alongside Leonard Curtis Legal solicitors Rachael Bentley and Rachael McCusker.
