FWB expands CFO practice with two hires
FWB Executive Search has strengthened its CFO and senior finance leadership practice with the appointments of Daryl Harper and Walker Wares.
The Edinburgh-headquartered firm said the hires reflect sustained growth in demand for senior finance leaders across Scotland and the UK.
The expansion makes the CFO and senior finance leadership practice the firm’s largest functional area, accounting for around 25 per cent of activity.
Daryl joined in late 2025, bringing more than 13 years’ experience recruiting senior finance professionals across Scotland, most recently with Amplifi.
Walker joined in February from Drax Executive in London, where he specialised in CFO and private equity-backed mandates.
Both will focus on CFO, CFO-1, interim and fractional leadership roles, supporting boards and investors across a range of sectors.
Michael Dickson, board director at FWB, said: “The rate of change with regards to the requirements of financial functions is driving the growth of CFO and CFO-1 mandates and reflects how central finance leadership has become to organisational performance and long-term resilience.
“Businesses are increasingly focused not just on appointing for today, but on building depth and succession within their finance functions.
“Strengthening our CFO practice allows us to respond to that demand with greater insight, reach and capability.”
