Multiverse appoints chief product officer
London-based upskilling platform Multiverse has appointed Jay Richman as chief product officer as it continues international growth.
Jay relocates from New York to take up the role, joining from Amazon where he led development of agentic AI systems.
He previously spent a decade at Spotify scaling its advertising, subscription and podcasting businesses, following earlier work on the launch of Hulu.
In his new position, Jay will oversee the growth of Multiverse’s technology platform, which supports more than 30,000 learners across 1500 customers in AI, data and digital skills.
Jay said: “Multiverse feels like the right company, in the right place, at the right time.
“While much of the tech industry is focused on humans making machines smarter, Multiverse is taking a different bet: building machines that make humans smarter.
“Central to this is building a great product experience that customers want to keep coming back to, which will help us to scale this mission globally.”
Jay added: “As a native New Yorker, I don’t say this lightly, but London genuinely feels like a city on the upswing.
“The talent density is remarkable and it has become a place where people from all over the world come not just to work, but to build.”
Jay’s appointment follows a year in which Multiverse surpassed $100 million in revenue and achieved net revenue retention above 120 per cent, alongside expansion into Germany.
Euan Blair, chief executive and founder of Multiverse, added: “Jay has built technology platforms that reshape how people interact with media, commerce, and content, driving meaningful shifts in behaviour at scale.
“As we expand our efforts to equip as many people as possible with the skills to seize the opportunities of technology, Jay’s experience building enterprise-grade AI systems deployed globally will be vital.
“He shares our conviction that AI’s greatest value lies in expanding human capability and judgment, rather than just driving short-term efficiency.”
