OneGym unveils £1.2 million Newcastle launch
A North East fitness operator is raising the bar in Newcastle city centre with a seven-figure investment in a new gym.
OneGym has unveiled a 21,000sq ft site at Eldon Garden Shopping Centre, representing a £1.2 million commitment and its 14th location overall.
The opening is the brand’s third in the past year, underlining steady expansion across the region.
Bosses say the new facility will create 15 jobs and is equipped with premium training kit, including plate-loaded machines, cardio equipment, free weights and a dedicated functional training zone.
Saunas and a modern, high-energy fit-out complete the offer.
Members will benefit from 24/7 access, zero-contract memberships and no joining fee, alongside a timetable of classes designed to suit all levels.
Paul Pearson, director at OneGym, said: “Opening in Eldon Garden is a huge moment for us.
“Newcastle city centre has always been a key location for OneGym, and this investment reflects our confidence in the city.
“This is our 14th site and our third in the last 12 months, which shows the strength of our model.
“We’re creating 15 new jobs and delivering a premium gym experience right in the heart of Newcastle - high-spec equipment like Panatta, accessible pricing and 24/7 access.
“We can’t wait to welcome members through the doors.”
The gym officially opens on March 7, with pre-launch open days and memberships available online.
