Stevens Equipment Rental appoints operations director
National heavy plant hire specialist Stevens Equipment Rental, headquartered in Silloth, Cumbria, has appointed Aidan Harrison as operations director to support its next phase of growth.
Aidan joins as the business expands its fleet, depot network and service capability following its 50th anniversary year.
He will oversee operations across machine hire, servicing and sales support, implementing processes to improve efficiency as demand rises across construction, energy and infrastructure projects.
Aidan brings experience in engineering and operational leadership, most recently holding a senior role in the offshore aerial survey sector.
A certified Six Sigma Black Belt, he has led continuous improvement initiatives during periods of rapid growth.
Aidan said: “SER has spent five decades building a reputation for being flexible and responsive to customer needs.
“My goal is to ensure that as we grow larger, we also become more efficient and even more reliable for our customers.
“We’re building the operational backbone that will support the next 50 years of success.”
Aidan’s appointment strengthens SER’s senior team as it continues its nationwide expansion.
Andrew Stevens, managing director of SER, added: “We are delighted to have Aidan on board.
“As we celebrate 50 years in business, we are looking firmly towards the future and Aidan’s expertise in managing growth is exactly what we need to ensure our service remains best-in-class in this new chapter of our company’s history.”
