Wells McFarlane appoints finance director
Lutterworth-based commercial property consultancy Wells McFarlane has promoted Abi Bradley to finance director and confirmed her appointment to the board.
Abi has led the firm’s accounts team for six years and will continue overseeing company, client and tenant accounts, budgeting, compliance and year-end reporting.
She qualified as a chartered accountant in 2020 and is a member of ACCA.
As finance director, she joins managing director Andrew McFarlane Holt, development director Trevor Wells and commercial director Jason Hercock on the board, contributing to the firm’s long-term strategy.
Abi said: “Day to day, this promotion means I will have a more meaningful input into how the business operates from a financial point of view and I’ll be looking at where we can make improvements and efficiencies companywide.
“In the longer term, I’d like to work towards an ISO accreditation for both quality and environmental management; to reflect the high standards and competencies we already have in place.
“I’m also looking to move to a cloud-based version of our property management software to accelerate our transition to a paperless office.
“I’m excited to help shape the future for Wells McFarlane and am especially grateful to my co-directors for the trust and confidence they’ve placed in me with this opportunity.”
Abi’s promotion strengthens Wells McFarlane’s senior leadership team as the business builds on more than 21 years of trading.
Andrew added: “Abi is a leading voice for the next generation as well as a popular and respected member of the team.
“Her contribution to Wells McFarlane’s success has been significant; she is well-known and highly regarded by our clients, so we felt the time was right to recognise her impact with this promotion.
“Abi will bring fresh insight and ideas to our board and we look forward to seeing her continue to thrive in this new role.”
