Payment Lynk targets hidden revenues
A North East consultancy has launched with plans to help UK businesses unlock additional revenue by improving the performance of their card and online payment systems.
Newcastle-based Payment Lynk is positioning itself as an independent payments adviser, encouraging companies to treat payment processing as a strategic lever rather than a fixed overhead.
As digital transactions continue to grow, even small gains in acceptance rates or reductions in fees can have a measurable impact on margins and customer experience.
Founded by Ian Dinning, who brings more than 30 years’ experience across digital, technology and automotive sectors, including senior roles at Sage, Rolls-Royce, Lookers plc and Close House, the firm works with a range of payment gateways and acquiring banks to design tailored commercial and technical structures, with advice not tied to any single provider.
Ian, who most recently built partnerships with major payment providers including Worldpay and Stripe, said:“Payments touch every transaction a business makes.
“Yet many organisations have never reviewed their fee model or acceptance performance in detail.
“Our role is to make payments a priority and provide clarity, reduce unnecessary cost and build resilience into their payment strategy.
“A common misconception is that changing providers is disruptive.
“In many cases, transitions can be completed with minimal operational impact, sometimes simply by updating merchant configurations rather than replacing hardware.
“When there is so much pressure on the top line, Payment Lynk will help businesses by reducing costs on their bottom line.
“Sometimes, it’s about increasing acceptance rates, allowing businesses to sell up to five per cent more by simply changing payment providers.”
The consultancy is offering UK businesses a free, no-obligation review of their current payment arrangements.
