Treasury Whitby toasts Laurent-Perrier deal
A historic Whitby hospitality venue is raising a glass to luxury after securing a partnership with one of the world’s most prestigious Champagne houses ahead of its 2026 opening.
The Treasury Whitby has announced a collaboration with Laurent-Perrier as it prepares to launch a high-end bar and restaurant within the restored former HSBC bank at 4 Baxtergate.
The Grade II-listed building, which has stood at the heart of the town since 1891, is undergoing a meticulous renovation blending heritage features with contemporary design.
Set to open in summer 2026, The Treasury will offer a premium dining and events space, with Laurent-Perrier’s Champagne portfolio curated to complement its food, private celebrations and special occasions.
Bosses say the partnership brings together two family-led brands united by a focus on quality, craftsmanship and long-term vision.
Ali Hussain, founder of The Treasury Whitby, said: “We are incredibly proud to partner with Laurent-Perrier.
“Their dedication to craftsmanship, heritage and innovation mirrors our own vision for The Treasury.
“Together, we aim to create something truly special for Whitby, an experience that feels both timeless and contemporary.”
Andrew Wootton, business development executive for the North & Scotland at Laurent-Perrier, added: “The Treasury Whitby embodies the values we hold dear: family leadership, respect for heritage, and an uncompromising pursuit of quality.
“We are delighted to support the creation of what promises to be one of the region’s most refined hospitality destinations.”
Restoration of The Treasury is being led by local architect Neil Duffield, with original architectural details such as the historic banking desk and large feature windows carefully preserved.
Its ambition is to create a refined yet welcoming destination that reflects Whitby’s heritage while introducing a new level of sophistication to the town’s hospitality scene.
