Wealth manager 'invests in future' with acquisition
A financial planning and wealth management firm has expanded with a takeover.
Suttons Independent Financial Advisors has bought KSP Financial.
Officials say the “carefully selected partnership” reflects an “investment in the long-term future” of the Sale-based business.
Founded in 2006, Suttons provides wealth management, tax, pensions and retirement planning advice, with KSP Financial, operating out of Wilmslow, near Stockport, delivering similar services.
Under the terms of the deal – completed for an undisclosed sum – KSP Financial boss Keith Phillips will operate in a consultancy role.
Ben Preston, Suttons’ managing director, said: “Keith has developed a strong and loyal client base, and we’re pleased he will continue working with us, ensuring continuity for clients and a smooth transition.”
Keith added: “Financial planning is about people, trust and being there through life’s changes.
“The values that matter to me – honesty, independence and putting clients first – are shared by Suttons.
“Joining Suttons is a move I believe best serves my clients’ long-term interests.”
Robin Hastings, corporate partner at North West law firm Bermans, advised Suttons on the deal, with Bluefriars Acquisition Services’ David Owen supporting KSP Financial.
