Leeds Marriott Hotel Appoints Harriett Bryant as New Director of Sales

Leeds Marriott Hotel has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Harriett Bryant as Director of Sales, bringing extensive hospitality and commercial experience to the popular city centre hotel.

Harriett joins Leeds Marriott from DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln, where she held the role of Director of Sales, overseeing all commercial activity across the property. A key focus of her position was managing and growing the hotel’s largest revenue segment, the military market, valued at approximately £2 million annually and supported by the hotel’s close proximity to RAF Waddington.

Her career also includes a senior role at Hilton Birmingham Metropole, one of the UK’s flagship conference hotels, boasting 800 bedrooms and 33 event spaces. During her time there, Harriett represented the Hilton brand internationally at IMEX Frankfurt on multiple occasions, building global client relationships and supporting international business development.

In her new role, Harriett will lead the commercial team at Leeds Marriott, delivering a focused sales strategy to drive revenue growth. Her responsibilities include developing key accounts, strengthening client partnerships, and ensuring close collaboration across all commercial functions.

Speaking about her appointment, Harriett said: “Leeds Marriott’s strong brand presence, prime city-centre location, and reputation as a flagship hotel really attracted me to the role. I’m excited to be joining such an experienced and passionate team and look forward to building on the hotel’s heritage and success.”

She added, “Hospitality sales is such a dynamic and fast-paced industry and no two days are ever the same. I love the opportunity to build relationships, think strategically, and bring creativity into how we grow the business.”

Looking ahead, Harriett’s initial focus will be on strengthening the hotel’s market positioning, growing key segments, and supporting the continued development of the commercial team.

“My ultimate goal is to bring fresh ideas and energy, build strong relationships internally and externally, and help Leeds Marriott continue to strengthen its reputation as a leading hotel in the market,” she said.

The appointment reflects Leeds Marriott’s continued investment in talent and its commitment to driving long-term growth within the competitive hospitality sector.
