Pilates brand expands with new Oadby studio
A Leicestershire wellness studio has expanded its regional footprint with the opening of a new Reformer Pilates site at a growing rural retail destination.
Bloom Reformer Studio has launched at Stoughton Grange Farm in Oadby, following a deal brokered by commercial property agency Innes England.
The new site, located within the former farm shop at the 15th century Stoughton estate, marks the brand’s fourth studio.
Led by influencer Maria Fowler, Bloom Reformer Studio offers Reformer Pilates classes focused on strength, flexibility and overall wellbeing.
The Oadby opening adds to existing locations in Belper, Derby and Burton, with further expansion planned in 2026.
Maria said: “I’m a strong advocate for inclusive wellness and female empowerment, so expanding Bloom into Oadby means a huge amount to me.
“As a mother of two, I know what it feels like to walk into spaces and feel intimidated or unsure if you belong.
“That’s the exact opposite of what I wanted Bloom to be.
“Leicester deserves a place where people can try Reformer Pilates without feeling judged, out of place or ‘not fit enough’.
“From day one, Bloom has been about creating an environment where everybody feels welcome - whether you’re brand new, rebuilding your confidence, already experienced or simply doing something for yourself.
“Opening in Oadby is about bringing that same supportive community to even more women, we’re so excited to create a brand new ‘bloom’ community in Oadby and we are very proud to do so at such a wonderful setting at Stoughton Grange.”
The arrival of the studio represents another milestone in the continued transformation of Stoughton Grange Rural Centre.
Since being instructed on the site in 2016, Innes England has overseen significant improvements and repositioning, taking occupancy from four of 20 units to full capacity and more than tripling the rent roll.
Matt Howson, director at Innes England, which manages the Stoughton Grange site, added: “The estate has established itself as a destination for high quality independent operators, and securing a well-recognised name such as Maria Fowler and her Bloom Reformer Studio business is a strong endorsement of the work that has been undertaken to reposition the site.
“There is clear demand for specialist health and wellbeing operators across the region, particularly in character settings that offer everything from accessibility to parking, while being set in attractive environments.”
Dillhan Sharma, chartered surveyor at Innes England, who has led the lettings at Stoughton Grange, added: “The successful conversion of the former farm shop into a Reformer Pilates studio reflects the adaptability of the estate and its ability to respond to changing consumer trends.
“It has been a pleasure working with Maria and the team to bring this transaction to completion and to welcome Bloom Reformer Studio to Stoughton Grange as the latest addition to its growing leisure and wellbeing offer.
“We are seeing sustained momentum within the fitness and wellness sector, and this letting demonstrates continued confidence in well-located, high-quality leisure space in the East Midlands.”
