£6 million Clifton Hall care home unveiled
A luxury care home development in York is nearing completion as its striking design has been revealed following the removal of scaffolding.
Clifton Hall, located at Clifton Moor just off Shipton Road, is being built by construction firm Hobson & Porter on behalf of Brough-based Yorkare Homes.
When the £6 million scheme completes this spring, it will provide 60 en-suite rooms offering residential, respite and day care, including a dedicated dementia floor.
The development will feature a range of facilities including restaurant-style dining rooms, two bars, a cinema and a beauty and hair salon, alongside landscaped gardens, a bowls green and greenhouse.
Residents are already reserving places at the home, while around 80 staff are currently being recruited ahead of opening.
Nicola Anderson, brand and interior design manager at Yorkare, said: “From the very beginning, there has been tremendous interest in Clifton Hall, and it’s easy to see why.
“The home has been thoughtfully designed to deliver exceptional care in beautiful surroundings, creating a warm, welcoming place where people can truly feel comfortable and supported.
“Every detail has been carefully considered to enhance residents’ wellbeing - from the spacious, elegantly designed rooms to the high-quality facilities and inviting communal spaces.
“Now that the scaffolding has come down, the local community can really appreciate the building’s character and the level of care and quality that sits behind its design.”
Richard Hunter, managing director from Hobson & Porter, added: “Clifton Hall is the ninth care home we’ve built for Yorkare and it looks fantastic.
“As a result of our significant experience working with Yorkare, as well as the strength of the whole development team and our supply chain, the project has progressed well and we’re very pleased to see the scaffolding coming down on time, which is always a pivotal moment.
“We’re already receiving positive feedback from the local community, especially because the development has replaced an old and disused medical centre.”
