New hospitality body launches In Newcastle
A new industry body has been formed to represent hospitality businesses across Newcastle and strengthen the sector’s voice at a time of mounting economic and operational pressures.
The Core – Newcastle Hospitality Association has been established to bring together operators and partners from across the city, providing a unified platform to support businesses and champion the industry’s role in the local economy.
Hospitality remains a major contributor to Newcastle’s economic performance, supporting jobs, supply chains and the vibrancy of the city centre while helping shape its reputation as a leading visitor destination.
The organisation will formally launch at 1:00pm on Thursday, March 19 at Dirty Murphy’s (formerly Mushroom) on Grainger Street, where industry figures and stakeholders will gather to mark the start of the initiative.
The event will feature a discussion with Sacha Lord, chair of the Night Time Industries Association and a prominent advocate for the sector, exploring the future of hospitality and the nighttime economy in cities across the UK.
Attendees will also hear from Nick Kemp, The Core’s head of operations, who will outline the organisation’s vision and priorities as it works to support businesses and encourage stronger collaboration across Newcastle’s hospitality community.
The launch aims to bring together operators, partners and stakeholders from across the industry, creating an opportunity to connect, share perspectives and explore the challenges and opportunities shaping the sector.
By establishing a dedicated association, organisers hope to ensure hospitality businesses across Newcastle have stronger representation and a clearer voice as the industry continues to evolve and adapt to changing market conditions.
Hospitality businesses and partners wishing to attend can register in advance by contacting Nick Kemp at nick@ne1hospitalitygroup.co.uk.
