Planning firm expands base amid jobs push
A planning and environmental consultancy has unveiled growth plans after an office move.
Axis has switched to a larger base at Newcastle’s Hoults Yard.
Bosses say the expansion will lay foundations for a recruitment drive, with the firm planning to double its four-strong team in the coming weeks.
The company, which counts Story Homes, Barratt Homes and Newcastle City Council as clients, moved to Hoults Yard a year ago, but says it needs greater space to meet increasing demand.
Ben Siddle, senior planning consultant, said: “By moving into a much bigger office, we’re future-proofing in preparation for growing our team and growing our business.
“We’ve been really happy – and successful – at Hoults Yard, so didn’t really explore any other options.”
Laura Goldston, Hoults Yard general manager, added: “We’re delighted Axis has expanded its workspace here.
“It is an ambitious and successful company, and great to work with too.”
Axis has further bases in Chester and Manchester.
