TSK expands regional presence with new office
A national workplace design and build specialist is expanding into the North East after a rise in office regeneration projects across the region.
TSK has opened a new delivery studio in Newcastle to support growing demand for workplace strategy, design and refurbishment schemes in the city and wider area.
The company, which collaborates closely with regional property specialists such as Parker Knights, has recently been involved in a number of major projects locally, including the 20,000sq ft Nexus headquarters at The Spark, a 16,000sq ft office for LNER, a 15,000sq ft space for Van Oord and a 10,000sq ft office for Irwin Mitchell.
Bosses say the new office will allow the company to support businesses across the North East as demand grows for upgrading and repurposing existing office space.
Hannah Cusack, account director at TSK, which is headquartered in Manchester, said: “There’s very little availability of new, high quality office stock in Newcastle yet there’s huge demand from a range of sectors wanting to locate their teams in the city.
“It’s an unbalanced picture, so these market conditions are driving significant change.
“Businesses wanting high quality offices are now choosing to stay in the buildings they own or lease by upgrading their workspaces.
“There’s no doubt that the biggest focus for the office market in Newcastle is upgrading existing stock.
“We have been working with a wide range of businesses across Newcastle and the North East to ensure rightsizing of their office space.
“Underpinning this, we support them in optimising space to improve productivity, purpose and usage; in turn this helps to save costs and attract talent.”
She added: “It’s really exciting to have our own permanent presence in Newcastle, and we look forward to working with new and existing clients across the North East to put in place workplace strategies for their bespoke requirements.
“Decisions around workplace projects are much more than surface level; they show a real commitment to the region and, importantly, an investment in people.”
TSK, which employs more than 100 people across the UK, helps organisations redesign or repurpose office space using data on workplace usage and evolving employee needs.
Founded in 1995, TSK counts AJ Bell, KPMG, the Post Office and Dr Oetker among its clients and recently celebrated a year operating as an employee ownership trust while also achieving B-Corp certification.
