Newett Homes makes three senior hires
Yorkshire housebuilder Newett Homes has strengthened its leadership team with three senior appointments as it accelerates growth across the business.
Jamie Moran has joined as regional technical director, bringing 27 years’ experience in housebuilding and technical leadership across regional and volume developers.
He said: “I am relishing this new challenge and I am really excited to be on board.
“Newett Homes is a great place to work, with wonderful people and an amazing office environment.
“I look forward to being part of this next phase of growth and seeing Newett Homes go from strength to strength with the help of a great team and colleagues from the wider business.”
Alastair Curran has been appointed head of planning, overseeing planning operations and land promotion strategies as the company expands its pre-development activity.
Alastair added: “I am thrilled to have joined Newett Homes at such an exciting time and play an integral role as we deliver our ambitious growth plans.
“Newett Homes has a standout reputation for quality, ambition, and delivering thoughtfully designed developments, and I’m looking forward to contributing to that momentum whilst working alongside a great team that takes genuine pride in the homes we deliver.”
Ian Makinson joins as head of health, safety and environment, bringing more than 20 years’ experience in housebuilding alongside 15 years of construction leadership in the Royal Engineers.
Ian added: “I’m delighted to be joining the Newett team and bring with me strong leadership, a wealth of health and safety knowledge and a real passion to succeed and deliver the ambitious business requirements planned for 2026 and beyond.
“I’m most looking forward to supporting Newett in establishing a robust in‑house health and safety management system and improving on the brilliant safety culture already in place.”
Will Newett, founder of Newett Homes, added: “Our ambition is to become the premier housebuilder in Yorkshire.
“To do this, we must continue investing in talented people who share our values and our drive to build exceptional homes.
“Each of these appointments plays a crucial role in shaping the next stage of our journey and we are excited to see what’s ahead.”
