True North Construction bolsters quantity surveying team
Newcastle-based True North Construction has appointed Jane Robertson as assistant quantity surveyor to support project delivery across its growing portfolio.
Jane will work across projects from inception to completion, supporting cost control, reporting and the management of budgets and contracts.
She will be mentored by consultant quantity surveyor Graham Blackie.
Jane joins the firm from a consultancy background after completing a master’s degree in quantity surveying at Northumbria University.
She said: “I wanted to be involved in the full build process from start to finish and to see projects develop on-site, not just on paper.
“Here, I am working closely with Graham and the directors across live projects, such as the exciting 177 High Street West, part of Sunderland’s Heritage Zone.
“True North Construction is the most relaxed, friendly, positive and ambitious place I have worked and everyone is so positive.
“It feels like a very exciting time to be part of the team.”
Founded in 2019, True North Construction delivers projects across residential, healthcare, hospitality, childcare and commercial sectors and has reported strong year-on-year growth.
Laura Roberts, finance director at True North Construction, added: “Expanding our quantity surveying team allows us to further enhance the level of cost certainty reporting and client support we provide across our projects.
“Jane brings strong academic knowledge, a fresh perspective and real enthusiasm.
“With Graham supporting, we are strengthening expertise within the business and supporting the next phase of our growth.”
