TaperedPlus appoints financial controller
Flat roofing design and insulation systems specialist TaperedPlus has appointed Tim Broughton as financial controller.
Tim previously worked for the Teesside-headquartered business as commercial finance business partner in 2022, helping develop its in-house finance function.
He now returns to the company to succeed Stuart Mitton, who is retiring, and will take responsibility for financial operations including accounts, reporting and audits.
Tim, who is originally from Middlesbrough, said: “At the time, moving into self-employment was the right decision for myself and my family, giving greater flexibility while broadening my commercial experience.
“But when the opportunity came to return, it felt like a natural next step.
“TaperedPlus has continued to evolve, and I’m looking forward to leading the finance function, building on the strong foundations in place and supporting the leadership team as the business moves forward.”
Founded in 2014, TaperedPlus continues to expand following a £5.5 million investment from BGF in 2023 to support digital transformation and nationwide growth.
Aman Chahall, chief executive of TaperedPlus, added: “Tim made a real impact during his first spell with us as we grew the in-house finance function.
“The fact that he chose to return in a senior capacity speaks volumes about our culture, direction and the opportunities that lie ahead.
“I’d also like to extend a huge thanks to Stuart.
“His experience and strategic guidance have enhanced our financial controls, helping the business expand.
“We wish him every happiness in his retirement.”
