Fourteen Twenty-One tees up UK growth
A Scottish golf apparel specialist is expanding across England as demand grows for bespoke private-label clothing at elite golf clubs.
Fourteen Twenty-One has announced its move into the English market, transitioning to a UK-wide distributor for premium apparel brand Fenix XCell ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Founded by Paul and Laura Robinson, the business, which received support from the North East BIC, partners with golf venues to develop custom-designed clothing collections that reflect each club’s heritage and identity.
The concept was first developed in Dubai before gaining traction across leading Scottish golf destinations.
Fourteen Twenty-One now manages Fenix XCell’s presence at more than 30 golf clubs and resorts, including Dumbarnie Links, Nairn Golf Club and The Old Course Hotel.
The expansion has already reached several prestigious English venues such as Wentworth, JCB Golf & Country Club, Little Aston and Forest of Arden, while the brand has also supported charitable initiatives by creating custom apparel for the Alan Shearer Foundation.
Collections are developed in collaboration with club retail teams and feature distinctive elements such as custom tartans, hand-drawn course maps and personalised trims.
With reported year-on-year growth of 1400 per cent, Paul says demand for club-specific apparel is rising as golfers increasingly favour high-quality, venue-branded collections over mass-market alternatives.
Paul, a former professional golfer, said: "Our mission has always been to champion the club’s own brand above all else.
“By bringing Fenix XCell’s world-class manufacturing and design to the UK, we are giving PGA professionals the tools to offer something truly exclusive.
“Our expansion into England is a response to the demand for that level of bespoke excellence, ensuring a club’s logo remains the most prestigious brand in their shop.”
