Clearpoint tips forecasts with record growth

A Yorkshire recycling brokerage has exceeded revenue forecasts after a year of strong growth despite challenging market conditions.

Clearpoint Recycling, headquartered in Harrogate with an office in Lithuania, reported revenues of £16.5 million for 2024–2025, surpassing its original projection of £12.5 million.

The independent recyclable materials trader is now forecasting turnover of £20 million by the end of 2026, supported by plans to expand its workforce both in the UK and overseas.

The company’s growth strategy includes increasing the number of certified brokers trading on its platform, enhancing its marketplace technology and scaling its European sales team by more than 20 staff next year.

Clearpoint also expects to see early commercial impact from an exclusive agreement with PET recycler Enviroo, a nine-figure deal set to launch later this year.

Over the past 12 months, the company has also achieved several milestones including B Corp certification, securing the Enviroo contract and increasing its headcount for the first time since 2020.

Mark Garrett, managing director of Clearpoint, which currently employs 30 staff, with 24 based in Harrogate and six in Lithuania, said: “We are operating in one of the most challenging markets the recycling sector has ever seen.

“However, with challenges come opportunities.

“Through diversified commercial partnerships and our well-adapted workforce, we are well positioned to achieve our ambitious growth plans over the next 12 months.

“Since 2023, the business has been executing its strategy with commitment and hard work. We’ve focused on delivering real added value by solving supply chain challenges.

“Our watch words are commerciality, compliance and consistency for customers.

“In such a difficult market, Yorkshire businesses that innovate and collaborate are the ones that win and we’re proud to be proving that.”
