Vismo appoints new chief executive
Critical event management company Vismo has appointed Tom Cowling as chief executive.
Tom joins from Ernst & Young, where he served as business development director.
He brings experience working in fast-paced B2B environments in the UK and internationally, focusing on business growth and market expansion.
In his new role, Tom will focus on expanding the customer base for Vismo’s Locate & Protect app, which is used by more than 450,000 people worldwide.
Tom said: “My experience at Ernst & Young in deal origination and the development of key strategic partnerships, has given me an excellent foundation for moving into the role of chief executive at Vismo - and building new relationships with private and public sector organisations in the UK and North America.
“Critical event management is an exciting space to be involved in and help develop.
“With its best-in-class event management admin platform for supporting clients and their employees in emergencies, Vismo is in a strong position to grow in breadth and depth to meet existing and emerging threats to employer organisations and their staff.”
Headquartered in York, Vismo provides tracking and security technology that enables organisations to monitor and protect employees, assets and operations in real time.
Its clients include Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 companies, as well as NGOs and government organisations.
