Acquisition adds up to accountancy firm growth

An accountancy and business advisory firm has expanded with a takeover.

Xeinadin has bought Gregory Priestley & Stewart.

The firm says the move for the Nottinghamshire practice adds “strong client relationships, a loyal team and support for owner-managed businesses across the Midlands and beyond” to its national stable.

Based in Long Eaton and Sutton-in-Ashfield, Gregory Priestley & Stewart provides support across areas including tax, audit, corporate finance, payroll and VAT to companies spanning a range of sectors.

Derry Crowley, Xeinadin chief executive, said: “Gregory Priestley & Stewart is exactly the kind of practice we want to bring into the business.

“Its strong presence in the Midlands and cross-sector experience strengthens our presence in the region and our ability to support SMEs across the UK.”

Peter Stewart, Gregory Priestley & Stewart partner, added: “By joining Xeinadin, we’re gaining access to additional resources, expertise and support we need to take the business forward, without losing what makes us who we are.”

The deal comes just days after Xeinadin added Accountancy Cloud to its London West End office and TBL Accountants to its Southend office.
