Tech care operator salutes 'milestone' city HQ switch
A technology-enabled care organisation has hailed “a bold new chapter” after completing a headquarters switch.
TEC Services Association has moved into The Catalyst, in Newcastle.
Bosses say the base – which replaces a Cheshire site – marks a “major milestone” in the independent advisory body’s 30-year history.
They add its new home places the operator “at the heart of a thriving community where research, lived experience and real-world delivery come together”.
Working on behalf of organisations that commission, provide and supply services including telecare and digital health, TEC Services Association supports moves to improve independence, safety and quality of life for more than two million people.
Based on the wider Newcastle Helix development, which sits on ex-bottling plant land, The Catalyst includes the National Innovation Centre for Data, the National Innovation Centre for Ageing and further organisations working across data, ageing, health and care advances.
Alyson Scurfield, TEC Services Association chief executive, said: “The Catalyst is home to people and organisations who share our belief that the future of care must be proactive, preventative and powered by insight.
“Being based alongside world-leading thinkers, innovators and partners strengthens our ability to champion technology enabled care on a national and international scale.”
Amelia Findlay, The Catalyst centre manager, added: “TEC Services Association’s move reinforces the building’s role as a home for organisations driving meaningful change across health, care and technology.
“TEC Services Association’s national influence and sector insight will be a real asset to our community.”
