CBS broadens offer with ASK deal
A Yorkshire office services firm is expanding after an acquisition.
Bradford-based Commerce Business Systems Ltd has bought ASK The Office Equipment Specialists, bringing its customer contracts, staff and vehicles into the business.
The deal will see both operations run from CBS’s Bradford headquarters under a single brand, supporting continued growth and team development.
Bosses say the acquisition will broaden CBS’s capabilities beyond managed print, IT and telecoms, adding office interiors, supplies, workwear and equipment to its portfolio.
They add the move is expected to enhance customer choice while reinforcing CBS’s position across Yorkshire and the wider North.
ASK’s managing director Greg Colehan will lead the expanded business equipment and supplies division.
John Green, managing director of CBS, said: “CBS and ASK are very similar.
“We are both Bradford based, service-led companies, with the same values.
“ASK stands for ‘advice’, ‘service’ and ‘lnowledge’, which fits perfectly with our own approach to business.
“I have known Greg for years and am really looking forward to working with him.
“My team is already working closely with ASK’s team, to ensure a smooth transition to the CBS brand.”
