Property firm hits right notes with Rhapsody deal
A property operator has expanded with an acquisition.
Your Move Chris Stonock has bought Newcastle-based lettings agency Rhapsody Property Consultants.
The firm says the move – which adds a 14th office to its portfolio – “further cements its position as one of the North East’s largest and most ambitious estate agency and lettings businesses”.
Under the terms of the deal, Jesmond-based Rhapsody Property Consultants will be rebranded as Your Move Chris Stonock and continue to operate from its St George’s Terrace office.
Former owner Gail Harbottle will remain with the business alongside Kim Slowther, with Your Move Chris Stonock planning to introduce a residential sales operation from the Jesmond base.
Tim Stonock, managing director at Your Move Chris Stonock, said: “This is another important step in our continued growth and expansion across the North East.
“We are very pleased Gail and Kim will remain with the business.
“Their experience, relationships and local knowledge are incredibly valuable, and they will continue providing the excellent service that landlords and tenants have come to expect.”
Gail added: “Your Move Chris Stonock is a leading agency in the North East; its reputation, high-quality service and integrity-driven approach made it the perfect fit.”
