Yorkshire engineer steps up recruitment drive
A Yorkshire engineering consultancy is expanding its workforce to support rising demand and drive future growth.
Wakefield-based HJ Consulting Engineers is recruiting across its civil and structural teams, with plans to create up to six new roles this year.
The firm, which provides engineering design, consultancy and project management services, is targeting revenues of more than £2.5 million over the next 12 months as it grows its presence across sectors including commercial, telecoms and transport.
Alongside new hires, HJ Consulting Engineers is also seeking external partner principals in transport and geotechnical engineering to strengthen its 26-strong team.
The recruitment drive follows recent contract wins with clients including Lindum Group, Harworth Group and Opus North.
Managing director Andrew Fairburn said: “We are investing in talent and skills to meet the needs of customers, who are pursuing their own exciting commercial opportunities across the UK.
“These roles offer the prospect of working at the forefront of a changing, dynamic sector with one of Yorkshire's leading independent engineering firms.
“We are recruiting to fuel planned growth in the coming 18 months as further new customers come onboard.
“We are committed to getting the right people and offering an excellent employee benefits package which includes training and opportunities for career development.”
