PTSG expands with 'excellent fit' takeover
A facilities management and construction sector services firm has expanded with a takeover.
Premier Technical Services Group (PTSG) has bought Testing Services (UK).
Bosses say the move for the electrical inspection, testing and compliance operator will bolster PTSG’s electrical services division’s ability to meet rising market demand.
They add Testing Services' founder and managing director Jon Roberts will remain with the business to “lead its development” within PTSG.
Headquartered in Castleford, PTSG works across areas including access and safety, electrical services, building access, fire solutions and water treatment.
Testing Services (UK), based in Heckmondwike, near Dewsbury, is known for services including electrical installation condition reports, portable appliance testing and emergency lighting, fire alarm and extinguisher support.
Paul Teasdale, PTSG executive chair, said: “Testing Services is an excellent fit.
“Electrical compliance continues to be one of the most important areas of building safety across the UK.
“By bringing Testing Services into the group, we are strengthening our ability to meet that demand.”
Greg Ward, PTSG chief executive, added: “By integrating Testing Services into our operating model, we will combine their expertise with our scale, systems and multidisciplinary capability to deliver even greater value to customers.”
