Skills tech firm plots growth after rebrand
A tech-based skills management firm is eyeing growth after completing a rebrand.
Moralbox has switched to Workprove.
The Sunderland-based operator says the change will pave the way for expansion, with staff numbers tipped to rise from 11 to 16 by the end of the year and revenue earmarked to top £10 million by 2030.
The blueprint comes after the business last year secured £350,000 in a funding drive led by Northstar Ventures’ Venture Sunderland Fund, alongside £150,000 from Creative UK’s North East Fund and £50,000 from angel investors Paul Dyson and Invest North East.
Founded in 2013 by chief executive Gordon MacPherson and chief technology officer John Dunnill, the firm is known for a live training matrix that helps employers track and manage expiring certifications and missing competencies in real time.
Working with companies including Thompsons of Prudhoe, Multevo and Spartan UK, it also supports businesses to source training and anticipate future skills needs.
Gordon said: “This is an incredibly exciting moment; our rebrand reflects the evolution of our business and the ambition we have for the future.
“We are just getting started on this next phase of growth.”
John added: “As we scale, we are continuing to enhance the technical vision behind our platform, developing a connected and scalable workforce intelligence solution that can adapt to the changing needs of global industries.”
