Customs Support Group appoints operations director
Customs Support Group (CSG), a provider of customs clearance and trade solutions, has appointed Wes Yardley as UK and Ireland operations director.
Wes brings more than 25 years’ experience in the logistics sector, most recently serving as European head of customs at CEVA Logistics.
He has expertise across customs operations, freight management, warehousing and supply chain regulation.
In his new role, Wes will lead the delivery of compliant and efficient customs operations across the region as the business continues to grow its UK and Ireland presence.
He said: “Having spent most of my career within customs functions at global logistics providers where customs was often viewed as a ‘back office’ function, the main attraction for me was the opportunity to work in a business where customs is the core focus.
“For me, customs is no longer a value-added service – it is a critical piece of all supply chains and Customs Support Group has the foundations, expertise and ambition to be a leader in this market.
“I am excited to have the opportunity to contribute to that goal.”
Keiron Myall, managing director for CSG UK&IE, added: “With extensive experience in customs brokerage and complex logistics environments, Wes has a track record of strengthening compliance, improving operational performance and ensuring consistent service for customers in an increasingly demanding regulatory landscape.
“He has led large, multi-site teams through significant change including post-Brexit transformation.
“Wes brings a pragmatic, collaborative leadership style and a strong focus on building highly-efficient operations which support customers’ supply chains with confidence.
“I know Wes will bring lots of success to the business and he is excited and motivated to have joined CSG at such an exciting time.”
