Howarths promotes new managing director
Cleckheaton-based people consultancy Howarths has promoted Tracey Hopkins to managing director as it continues to grow its leadership team.
Tracey steps into the role after nearly 20 years with the business, having progressed from office junior to chief financial officer and board director.
She has played a key role in the company’s development, including being part of a management buyout in 2021 as the business transitioned to second-generation ownership.
In her new role, Tracey will lead the business’s growth strategy, supporting its team and clients across the UK.
She said: “Having grown with the business over nearly two decades, I’ve seen first-hand what makes this company so special - our people.
“I feel incredibly privileged to take on this role and I’m excited to lead our brilliant team into the next chapter of growth as we continue to build on the values and success that have got us to where we are today.”
Chief executive Gavin Howarth, who will retain his position, added: “It gives me the greatest pleasure that Tracey will take on the role of managing director of Howarths.
“In our 23-year history, Tracey becomes the first non-family, and female, managing director.
“From Mum and Dad as founders, and me as the second generation, we are all so proud.
“I couldn’t be happier for Tracey.
“She has worked so hard, dedicated herself over nearly 20 years, and has been an example to all of us of what can be achieved.
“Tracey is an inspiration and deserves this next step in her career.
“I’m looking forward to this next step in our journey as we work together to take Howarths to the next level.”
