Tembo appoints director of data
London-based savings and mortgage platform Tembo has appointed James Young as director of data and insights to strengthen its senior team.
James brings more than ten years’ experience in analytics and data strategy, joining from Bark where he led the insights and analytics function during a period of rapid growth.
In his new role, he will build and scale Tembo’s data capabilities, supporting decision-making and driving product development through deeper customer insight.
James said: “Tembo is tackling one of the biggest financial challenges people face today - getting onto the property ladder.
“Data has a critical role to play in making that journey easier and more achievable.
“I’m excited to join at such a pivotal moment and to build a data capability that not only drives smarter decisions internally, but also delivers more personalised, impactful experiences for customers.”
James’ appointment forms part of a wider round of senior hires as Tembo continues to expand its presence in the savings and mortgage market.
Richard Dana, founder and chief executive of Tembo, added: “Strong data and insight are key as we grow Tembo to become the home for first-time buyers.
“James brings a wealth of experience in developing analytics capabilities that drive better decision-making, and we’re delighted to have him join the team at such an important stage of our growth.”
