Tyre wholesaler 'in gear for growth' after takeover
A tyre wholesaler says it is set to drive ahead after completing a takeover.
Oak Group Holdings has become the sole owner of Exhaust, Tyres and Batteries.
Bosses say the agreement “opens up a significant new distribution channel” for the Newton-Le-Willows-based business.
The deal brings the entire Exhaust, Tyres and Batteries business – formerly owned by Bridgestone – into the Oak Group Holdings portfolio, and adds four warehouses across Wales, the Midlands and the South West to Oak Group Holdings’ wholesale network.
Peter Cross, Oak Group Holdings’ commercial director, said: “2026 marks the start of an exciting new chapter for Oak.
“This milestone acquisition demonstrates the strength of our business, our continued investment and our long-term commitment as a wholesaler operating in what has been a turbulent and challenging market in recent years.”
